Statement
My artistic practice fuses the ritual and symbolic language of clothing, jewelry, and leatherwork with textile art and sculpture. All of my production is permeated by my roots in Entre Ríos Province (mean. “between rivers”); my experience working in the garment industry; my 9 years living on the Argentine Delta Islands, and my deep love for craftsmanship.
Through natural fibers, biomaterials, ecological dyes, soft metals, logs, seashells, fruit peels, leaves, and other collected natural objects, my pieces establish a poetic dialogue with the cycles of nature, in a conceptual and delicately visceral way. In my objects, instalations, paintings, and textiles, the boundaries between art, design, and permaculture (the permanent practice of working with the available resources of my context in a self-sustaining way) are interwoven.
The energy imbued in each work exalts my constant curiosity, experimentation, and the alchemical power of the handmade.
